The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) produces industry-driven research and analyses; develops forecasts; fosters dialogue and convenes forums; and publicly disseminates our research through conferences, events, and the media. Our mission is to educate, inform and advise industry stakeholders, policy makers, and the general public on critical issues facing the automotive industry and its impact on the U.S. economy and society. As an independent, non-profit, research organization with a multi-disciplinary approach, CAR engages with leaders in the global automotive industry to support technology advancements and improve the competitiveness of the U.S. automotive industry.

Research Assistant
Industry, Labor, & Economics (ILE) Group

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for participating as a research assistant on a variety of research activities focusing on the automotive industry and the public sector.  This is a part-time temporary position (15 – 25 hours per week) during the school year with the potential for full-time employment in the summer.


Transportation Systems Analyst
Transportation Systems Analysis (TSA) Group

The Transportation Systems Analyst participates as a researcher and analyst on a variety of projects focused on transportation systems planning, policy, and engineering related to vehicle communications, intelligent transportation systems, connected and automated vehicles, freight movement, and economic impacts of transportation systems.  Position reports directly to Richard Wallace, Group Director.
